Rain on the Car Window

Typical Vancouver. It’s raining again. So I got into my car and saw that the window was fogged up. Natural instinct would be to wipe away the offending fog, but as I was about to commence with the deed, I saw something that I thought to be quite special: the world behind the glass was a complete blur. Everything, except the drops of rain on the window.

On an evening with no rain, everything in the photo would have come out as sharp, erasing the special qualities that made it special. See, you can’t always hate the rain.
