It’s the Golden Gate Bridge! At least, it’s a replica of the iconic bridge in San Francisco. This photograph was taken at Disneyland’s California Adventures theme park right across the street from the original theme park. Entering the park proper itself requires a walk underneath their replica of the golden gate bridge and just as I passed underneath, I took the opportunity to snap a photograph of one of the supporting towers.
I’ve always marveled at suspension bridges because of their elegant design and ingenuity. If one cannot support the bridge underneath, then the best way to build a bridge is to hang it. Not only that, it would be hung using its own support structure while this support structure itself would be anchored to the earth. Very, very, cool for me.
