Today’s photograph is a single cherry blossom against the green grass.  I suppose there isn’t much else to say about it except that it was striking to me and I had to take a photo.  There were other cherry blossoms that fell onto the grass, but this was the one that fell in such a way that it featured the blossom itself.

I cropped the original 3 x 2 image to a 1 x 1 image with the cherry blossom off centre.  I felt that it created a bit of balance because the left side grass was darker than the grass on the right side.

Taken with Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 at 55mm.
Shutter Speed: 1/50s.
Aperture: f/7.1.
ISO 100.
Edited with Adobe Photoshop CS4.
