Creek Street

In Ketchikan, Alaska, there is a very unique street along a creek.  It’s aptly named Creek Street.  Basically, it’s a boardwalk with buildings right up against… well… a creek.  In fact, some parts of this boardwalk, as you can see in the photo below, are on the creek itself.  I had a chance to get up close and personal to it and the smell was unbelievably… bad.  It smelled of sewage actually.  So bad in fact that I couldn’t even stand to walk through to the end of the creek street itself.  Pity, there seemed to be some nice shops over there.
