The Groom’s Hands

I love photographing hands.  They are the human’s tools with which to work and they create, destroy, nurture, and neglect.  They create simply powerful images.

In this case, I asked my cousin’s husband to clasp both of his hands so that I could get a close up photograph of his ring.  I figured that this would be sort of symbolic of the bond that their marriage created.

I also took a photograph of both of their hands holding with their rings prominently displayed but I had taken the photograph with their camera so I do not have a copy of said photo.  This one will have to do.

Taken with Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi.
Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM at 122mm.
Shutter Speed: 1/60s.
Aperture: f/5.6.
ISO 100.
Edited with Adobe Photoshop CS4.
