Red and Gold

Today, I visited a dear friend of mine and her husband for their baby shower.  She’s expecting in January and it’s all very exciting.  Being the shutter bug that I am, I brought my DSLR with me so I could take some photographs of the events.  Anyway, we arrived pretty early so there was some time before the festivities began.  Thus, I had to amuse myself by taking photographs of the various things that the home had to offer.  I came upon their Christmas tree.  It was adorned with red and gold ornaments and that motif was executed quite nicely with the red baubles and tiny instruments.  So I did what I normally do and got up close to photograph.  If you look closely enough, you might see my silhouette on one of the baubles.

Notes:
Taken with Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II.
Shutter Speed: 1/60s.
Aperture: f/2.8.
ISO 100.
Edited with Adobe Photoshop CS4.
