The Gulf of Georgia Cannery

I’ve never been inside of it before.  In fact, I know nothing of it.  Except that it used to be a fish cannery.  It does sort of stand as a fixture of Steveston Village, however.  Maybe I’ll spend the time and take the tour that they apparently offer so I’ll learn more about my city’s fishing history.

Anyway, I love how it looks during the sunset.  Bathed in that orange light, the building almost glows.  Unfortunately, this photograph wasn’t taken during golden hour.  It was taken in the middle of the day.  Its colour balance was merely changed to make it seem like it was taken at sunset.  The wonders of technology.

Notes:
Taken with Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi.
Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM at 33mm.
Shutter Speed: 1/200s.
Aperture: f/9.0.
ISO 100.
Edited with Adobe Photoshop CS4.
