Dew Drops and White Roses

Someone once told me that the best way to photograph flowers is indoors with the help of a squirt bottle.  When indoors, wind doesn’t play any factor on how easily one can take a photograph.  The flowers don’t sway so you’re free to use whatever shutter speed want.  The squirt bottle is there for the added flair of making it seem like the flowers had just gotten a shower of rain.

This photograph was taken indoors but I didn’t use a squirt bottle.  I wasn’t at home and I did not want to bother the host about getting a squirt bottle.  Oddly enough, there were already dew drops on the roses when I photographed them.  Maybe I just got lucky and the flowers were freshly sprayed from the flower shop.

Taken with Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II.
Shutter Speed: 1/80s.
Aperture: f/2.5.
ISO 100.
Edited with Adobe Photoshop CS5.
