The Texture of a Rose

When I do not want to feature the colour of a flower, I convert a photograph I’ve taken into black and white.  I would then want to focus on the textures and shapes of the subject of my photograph.  In this case, I’ve got a rose whose texture I wished to feature. The rose itself was a nice bright pink but I wanted to show off its petals and how they’ve blossomed and such.  I hope you like it.

Notes:
Taken with Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II.
Shutter Speed: 1/500s.
Aperture: f/7.1.
ISO 100.
Edited with Adobe Photoshop CS5.
