Balsamic vinegar and olive oil. It turns any type of bread really into something so much more. I really don’t know what it is with that combination that makes dipping bread in it so delightfully good.
Maybe it’s because bread dipped in olive oil and vinegar has a mix of tastes and textures. The bread has the crunchiness from the crust and the softness from its insides while the olive oil and vinegar provide sweet, sour, and a bit of savoury. It’s really just a treat for one’s sense of taste. Amazing. And simple.
