I Grew Up Here

The view isn’t necessarily the view from which I saw the city where I grew up but it’s definitely representative of what the skyline in Manila looks like; a mishmash of houses strewn every which way, trees amidst them, and tall buildings scattered around.

This shot was taken at the hotel where we stayed when I was in Manila a few years ago.  I took the time to take a shot of the view because after years of seeing nice straight roads square to each other, it was kind of nice to see the “organic” sort of way that the city grew.

Taken with Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 at 18mm.
Shutter Speed: 1/125s.
Aperture: f/7.1.
ISO 100.
Edited with Adobe Photoshop CS5.
